What Is Honey

Honey is made from the nectar, coming from flowers and blossoms, collected by bees. Nectar is a “simple” form of carbohydrate sugar. It is made up of predominantly Fructose and Glucose. Bees collect nectar, mix it with enzymes (produced by the bee), ripen it and then store it in the comb. Honey is their source of energy.

Our Location

Coonowrin Honey is produced in the forests of the glasshouse mountains in Queensland. This region produces exceptional honey due to the wide arrange of plants for our bees to turn into honey. We our proud to bring you nothing but 100% pure and natural Australian honey.

Our Values

We believe that good Honey is as natural as it can be. It should be just as the bees produced it. We pride ourselves on only providing the best quality honey to our customers. Coonowrin Honey doesnt use anything but the natural honey produced by our bees.

I have been a customer of Coonowrin Honey for more than 10 years, love the flavour’s and nothing is too much trouble for Kieran to source. Even after moving to the UK I still come back once a year and Coonowrin Honey is always my first stop. Great product, great service and fabulous variety. The strawberry honey is to die for. Adding a tablespoon to porridge, yogurt or tea is an experience that you won’t regret having. The honey paired with the accents of strawberry heightens your beverage or meal and I would suggest using it as a substitute for sugar. Thankyou again.
